Summer Camps at Edison Ford Winter Estates
June 8, 2020 @ 8:00 am - August 7, 2020 @ 5:00 pm

Edison and Ford Winter Estates is offering several summer camps for students 6 to 12 years old. Campers are separated into two age groups (6-8 and 9-12). The camps are fun, educational, and unlike other local opportunities.
Summer Camps begin on June 8 and end on August 2.
Campers will explore the “living laboratory” of the estates while the Wild Wizards teach topics in science technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM), plus history and the natural world. Most of the camps are available for both age groups; camps for younger students are less complex.
Camp options include the following:
- Gear Up – Runs 6/8 until 6/12 – Emerging engineers will explore activities related to the six simple machines. Campers learn how to multiply their strength as they work with pulleys, levers, gears and more. – Edison Ford members: $220.00 pp.; non-members: $250.00 pp
- Mad Chemistry – Runs 6/15 until 6/19 – Young chemists will engage in exciting experiments with household materials, including acids, bases, and reactions. This and more will be presented in this camp. – Edison Ford members: $220.00 pp; non-members: $250.00 pp
- Assembly Required – Runs 6/29 until 7/03 – Campers will use LEGO robotics to program their own creations. Campers will use the LEGO Mindstorm platform, and the Ozobot Evo to tackle the principles of robotics. They will design, code, and drive different robots as they learn the tricks and challenges of this emerging and dynamic field. – Edison Ford members: $220.00 pp; non-members: $250.00 pp
- Caloosahatchee Conservation – Runs 7/6 until 7/10 – Ecology, conservation, and sustainability will be explored in this hands-on camp. Campers observe and design models big and small as they learn about their local environment. – Edison Ford members: $220.00 pp; non-members: $250.00 pp
- Discovering Dinosaurs – Ages 6-8 ONLY – Runs 7/13 until 7/17 – This paleontology primer will inspire and educate campers.
